Blackbird Records is a record store and cafe at 132 Jellicoe Street, Te Puke 3119, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
This website has no contact form and no account sign up. If you have not phoned, emailed or spoken to us, we do not hold anything about you beyond that basic technical information.
To reply to enquiries, to keep track of records people have asked us to look out for, to process a sale or a special order, and to meet our record keeping obligations. Nothing else.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list because you rang the shop. We do not build a profile of you from your purchases.
A few parts of this site rely on services run by other companies, and those companies have their own privacy policies:
We do not set our own tracking or advertising cookies. Embedded third party content, such as the Google map, may set its own cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though the map may then stop working.
We keep contact details only as long as we need them and take reasonable steps to protect them. Enquiry emails sit in our normal business email account, which is password protected.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ring or email and we will sort it out, usually on the spot.
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
